How You Can Help

Please take a moment to consider how your time, talents, and treasure may be used to help others in our community. However you choose to help, your efforts will make a real difference in the lives of others!

Contribute to our pantry

We maintain a small pantry of non-perishable food and personal hygiene items, and the need for these supplies is always great. You can help meet this need by contributing to our pantry, either individually or by sponsoring a drive at your church, school or business. Please contact us if you’re interested in sponsoring a drive and we’ll help you coordinate it.

We always need:

• Canned meat and fish
• Dried beans and peas
• Peanut butter
• Canned fruits and vegetables
• Powdered or canned milk
• Oatmeal
• Rice and pasta

Also nice to have:

• Ensure and Glucerna
• Diapers and wipes
• Laundry and dish soap

Hygiene Items:

• Bar soap
• Shampoo
• Deodorant
• Toothpaste/Toothbrush
• Comb/Brush
• Band-Aids

Adopt a family for the holidays

The holidays can be especially hard for families with very limited financial resources. You can help by providing Christmas gifts or Easter baskets to one child or an entire family. Please contact us if you’re interested in bringing holiday joy to a family.

Participate in our Thanksgiving Luncheon for the homeless

Each Wednesday before Thanksgiving we sponsor a festive luncheon, including those in the community who may not have a family or the resources to enjoy the feast that typically marks this holiday.  Please contact us if you&'re interested in helping to prepare or serve this special meal.

Volunteer your time

There are lots of ways you can help -- here are just a few:

• Do you have a truck or van? We need help picking up donated pantry items, and families moving out of shelters often need help getting donated furniture and household items to their new homes.
• Are you good at organizing?  We need help organizing the pantry and assembling food and hygiene bags for our families.
